In Part 4 of Week of Sakura Hunting, I take you to Showa Kinen Park. I’ve been there once before during the tulip festival, but this year we picked a perfect timing for cherry trees. Imagine walking through a sakura forest! The scenery was breathtaking and unworldly with fluffy cherry blossoms stretching as far as the eye could see. Also, because of the massive size of the park, everyone is spread out so it feels very tranquil and relaxing – perfect for lengthy hanami followed by an afternoon nap in the shade of a sakura tree, perhaps?! Hope you’ll enjoy the photos!

  1. Hello, What exact date did you visit the park please? :) Saw you posted the blog on April 15 but not sure the exact date you were here. Just to give me an idea when to visit the park also next year. Thank you

    1. Hi Owen! Unfortunately I don’t remember exact date, but it would be useless anyway cause every year things bloom at completely different days. I recommend being alert starting the first day of bloom and then check Insta hashtags to see the updates posted on that day from the specific locations. It will give you an idea what’s the status there. That’s what I usually do. xx
